How to Develop and Paint Dynamic Still-lifes March 31 - May 26, 2009 (Tuesdays, 9am-12pm) — In this 9 week course, Cora Ogden will first work individually with students to create engaging still-life setups. How to select props, light sources and point-of-view are some of the elements that will be covered. Then the class will move on to underpainting; how it works as an armature for the painting and helps the artist begin each painting with a strong, well developed composition. The remainder of the sessions will focus on color application and layering.
